The second weekend of NCAA men's gymnastics is now in the books. Michigan showed great improvement over last weekend and ended up with the young season's highest team score (355.65) in their easy romp over Penn State. The Wolverines' top performers, Chris Cameron and Thomas Kelley, put it together to enable an early showcase as to why Michigan [...more]
The 2010 NCAA and club season is off to a rousing start. Stanford blew out undermanned Cal (352.75 to 340.10) in the season opener for both teams. Cal was minus All-American Glen Ishino (injured in warm-up) and Dennis Mannhart (ineligible), and only won the team competition on pommel horse and parallel bars. Stanford showed why they were the pre-season [...more]

It's time for StickItMedia's follow-up to our previous articles about the tallest athletes in men's gymnastics. Sadly, our all-time favorite, Oklahoma's Russ Czeschin, has graduated. 2009 was a great season for men's gymnastics! Japan's Kohei Uchimura and Germany's Fabian Hambuchen dominated. It's too bad that Hambuchen's injury prevented a match-up of the two best gymnasts at the London Worlds. Still, these two gymnasts are pretty much locked in as the two All-Around favorites at the '12 Olympics. Uchimura is now unquestionably the world's top gymnast.
On the U.S. side, Jonathan Horton has moved into the role of [...more]
Over the past several years World Olympic Gymnastics Academy (WOGA) in Frisco, TX has been a fertile breeding ground for many of the nation's top men's collegiate gymnasts. Just to name a few, WOGA has produced such stalwarts as Oklahoma's Steven Legendre, Stanford's Eric Hergenrader and Tim Gentry, Minnesota's Cole Storer and Colin McGuire, Nebraska's Cory Baumgarten and Ohio State's Phil Onorato. Last month, Nebraska announced the signings of [...more]

The young compulsory team from Vitaly Scherbo School of Gymnastics was very impressive, even without [...more]
